Route 9 & Tilton Road Intersection Reconstruction

This project was initiated through the SJTPO and Atlantic County as a “Local Scoping” effort to provide needed improvements to this congested and accident-prone intersection. Taylor Wiseman & Taylor’s services included base map preparation, field survey, traffic counting/projections, Highway Capacity analyses, traffic modeling/simulation, preparation of preliminary plans, cost estimates (construction, utility, right-of-way), environmental investigations, Project and Feasibility Assessment Report preparation, presentations to local officials and a Public Information Center. Project design was performed to minimize impacts to adjoining properties and necessary right-of-way acquisition. Synchro traffic analysis and SimTraffic simulation modeling was utilized on the project.

Our firm was selected for preliminary and final design services, right-of-way plans and documents, and for construction engineering services by the NJDOT for the Project. The project has been completed through construction and we have received an overall performance evaluation of “outstanding” for the project.
