The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia proposed the development of a hospital on a former agricultural field in Mt. Laurel, NJ. The Preliminary Assessment (PA) identified historic pesticide use as an area of concern onsite. The property owner entered into New Jersey’s Voluntary Cleanup Program in furtherance of a No Further Action (NFA) letter.
Taylor Wiseman & Taylor provided the following services in accordance with NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation:
TWT identified and delineated the extent of lead and arsenic on the property. A Remedial Action Report was completed and submitted to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) in accordance with NJAC 7:26E (NJDEP Technical Requirements for Site Remediation) and the Field Sampling Procedures Manual. All impacted soil was excavated and properly disposed of while still remaining within the budget.
TWT facilitated communications with the NJDEP and obtained prompt responses of required submittals. The former agricultural field received a NFA and The Children’s Hospital opened in 2008.
