Taylor Wiseman & Taylor performed complete engineering and surveying services including field topography, base map preparation, geometric design, sight distance analysis, grading and drainage design, right-of-way research and parcel acquisition plans required for road widening and corrective vertical geometry. Project included pavement design for resurfacing and full-depth pavement reconstruction.
Existing two-lane Ark Road in Mount Laurel, with substandard vertical geometry, was widened to a five-lane section with adequate stopping sight distance. Roadway improvements required design of a 14-foot high cast-in-place reinforced concrete cantilevered retaining wall in addition to three-foot high Keystone modular concrete block retaining wall and relocation of an existing 12-inch water main. Design featured traffic signal interconnection, drainage improvements and guide rail placement.
